Kayaking the Wild and Scenic Wekiva River it's a paddling paradise...

Mother Nature was kind to us today and showed us quite a few treasures. From the blooms of the Milkweed, Climbing Aster and Spatterdock to the reds, yellow and oranges of the Maple Trees. The Anhingas were the most abundant bird of the day. We had a great group of birders with us and several sets of eyes to spot them too. Ospreys, Little Blue Herons in the white and blue phase, Green Herons, Tri-colored Herons and Great Blues, juvenile Snowy Egrets, White Ibis, Moorhens and Great Egrets were all present. The Common Mergansers, Kingfishers, American Coots and Pied-billed Grebes are down for the winter and then we spotted the Bald Eagle as our sentinel for the day. The sky was mackerel and a beautiful shade of blue. There were several Turtles out sunning and we found a few Alligators as well. We couldn't have asked for a better day to celebrate life!
