From On Top of the World to kayaking the Wekiva River October 13, 2015

A perfect day greeted Barbara and myself on the Lower Wekiva River this morning. The Red Maples are starting to turn their Fall colors, there was a light breeze and glassy waters to paddle. The Kingfishers were sounding off, Phoebes calling out to each other and Gray Catbirds staking their territories. We also saw White Ibis, Limpkins, Great, Little Blue and Tri-colored Herons all out feeding along the rivers edge. There were many Turtles out sunning too. With the cool breeze blowing and the sun warming our faces it made for a great day. Summer is in the past, long live Fall!
